Developed in the late 90’s, Battleship offers a spectacular gaming experience to all those gamers out there who want to test their strategic capabilities and if you’re familiar with the real Battleship board game, you’ll certainly love this digital version because it emulates the thrill of the board game perfectly. The interface of the game is fairly simple which revolves around a head-to-head battle between you and your opponent and what makes this game even more enjoyable is the fact that, along with your battles with the computer, you can also choose to square up against others in exciting PvP battles.
When it comes to the gameplay, you and your opponent will start the game with an empty square-shaped battlefield on your screen in which you’ll have dedicated rows and columns to place your ships. Your main objective will be to place your ships cleverly in this turn-based game so once you’ve placed your ship, your challenger would have to randomly guess the right location of your ship and if they succeed in doing so, your ship will be exposed to damage resulting in deduction of points. Since the game is turn-based, your rival will also get the chance to place their ships in the battlefield and then it’ll be your job to make the right moves and guess the location of their ship so it’s fair to say that along with good strategic skills, luck also plays a significant role in deciding who’ll come out on top.
All things considered, Battleship is an engaging and fun-to-play game which is certainly worth giving a try if you’re a fan of the genre.
